Yoga Beginners part 4 of 5

Yoga Beginners Part 4 is a 10 min energizing practice, suitable for beginners. Some of the standing poses you learned in part 3 are repeated, but you learn to get into them differently. I added a few baby backbends that will increase your energy levels, a twist and a hip opener ! Enjoy..

I just want to say, thank you so much for these videos!! I have always wanted to do yoga, but i’m a student and can’t afford it but you have given me the opportunity to start! You’re a great teacher as well, and your voice is so relaxing and calming – great after a stressful day! :)

Bring the energy up from the earth!!! Would this be more effective if done outdoors on the grass?

@preronamukherjee Hi, just come down slowly, knees down for sure if you are still building strength, get used to bending your elbows back. Adjusting your feet between up dog and down dog is fine, no worries. Look at my new video up chaturanga and up dog. This might help you.

Hi Esther, when you are coming down from plank are you supposed to bring your chin down first before your chest? I am finding this really difficult. also my arms bend out to the side rather than backwards as yours are doing. is this wrong? i find my feet move back and forwards too between downward dog and upward facing dog! i am not sure how to fix this. can you advise?

@YagamiSpain not quite. but certainly not unnattractive. bit more curves is when it nears perfection. skinny is way less attractive to blokes then most girls imagine….

DiastoleYoga January 26, 2012 at 5:06 pm

Hey Tara,
I really enjoyed the different view we got on some of these poses. It allowed me to see the best way to line up certain poses as well as just some different things to think about. Sometimes you only see them from the side versus a straight on look. As always, love when you give us all a new video. Thanks!

Silverstarlightt January 26, 2012 at 5:37 pm

This is the exact routine I’ve been doing to try to improve my balance for the last few months! :D
